We surveyed 54 people asking them if they used bike lights:

There is a clear problem at hand. After surveying 54 people that ride bikes, only 30% said that they use bike lights. 

After asking how many people use bike lights, we also decided to ask if people use bike lights at night. Out of the 54  people surveyed, only 22.2% said they use bike lights at night. Not only is it important to use bike lights at night, but it is a required law in Florida as well. 

Finally, we asked if people use bike lights during the day. Only 7.4% out of the 54 people surveyed said they use bike lights during the day. Although it is not a required law, research shows that using bike lights during the day is the single most effective measure a cyclist can take to increase their likelihood of standing out to drivers.
